Salmon for the single man

19Dec08

Being a single (as in non-married) guy and having to cook and maintain a career is a challenge.  So it is not in my best interest to spend all my time after work cooking a thorough meal.  However, that doens’t mean you can’t enjoy good food.  Here is a recipe I recently developed to cook Salmon.

  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
  • Place a thawed piece of salmon on a cooking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with a moderate amount Lemon-Pepper seasoning, any brand is fine
  • Sprinkle with a light amount black pepper
  • For every 6 inches of salmon, put a tablespoon of butter/magarine/spread directly on the salmon (most important part), the butter make the salmon extremely juicy
  • By now the oven should be ready to go.  Place the salmon, uncovered, in the middle of the oven.  And let it cook for about 15 minutes (more or less depending how you like it).
  • When it is cooked to your liking, take the salmon out and walla, “Instant Good Meal”

I normally serve this to myself with rice or sweet potatoe and a vegetable.  Enjoy.
