Speeed Reader Alpha Available!

I am Presenting Speeed Reader (Current Version v0.1.0.42358)

Speeed Reader is a Windows Mobile application that allows native access and interaction to your Google Reader account.  Google Reader is a RSS feed aggregator that can organize your RSS feeds.  The good thing about Google Reader is that it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection and now Speeed Reader can help you in your quest for information!  For more on Google Reader see http://www.google.com/reader.

Since this initial build is an Alpha build, there will be limited help and tutorial since the primary focus is development and bug fixing.  Also, due to the nature of alpha software, there may be performance issues, crashes, and other bugs that may be present.  If you experience any, please send me an email to SpeeedReader@gmail.com containing the problem experience, device, and steps leading up to the encountered issue (or leave a comment).

By downloading Speeed Reader, you agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise generate source code from the program executable.  You are however free to distribute this software freely.

This software was developed on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 with a WVGA (800×480) screen.

  • Windows Mobile 6.X Professional (usually only touch screen devices use Windows Mobile Professional)
  • .NET Compact Framework v3.5

Known Issues (fixed in future releases)

  • If an article is marked as read on another device (not in Speeed Reader) that change will not propogate to Speeed Reader
  • No finger scrolling in the browser tab
  • Scrolling through the list of items (with a D-Pad) scrolls backwards
  • No Icon (blank icon) lol :)
